Queensway
Despite the freezing conditions, we received a warm welcome from Queensway tonight. As a result, we only played 14 ends as all the players were absolutely frozen. We actually won on three rinks but lost overall 39 - 56. The winning rink for Mbc was Judith Ford, Chris Donovan, and Joe Donovan. Thank you to all the players for their support.
District
A great evening's bowling against a strong District side. Congratulations to our new President on presiding over a very happy match. Lucy, Janet and Linda produced a most welcome meal and appreciated the thank you card from the President. Cath managed a successful raffle and Malc kept us all supplied with drinks from the bar. (Despite needing sun glasses to keep out the glare of Judith's new(Pink Bowls) her team of Mick and Mike were the winning rink.
Newark
A delightful first leg of the King's Cup at Newark. MBC won 84-51.
Jill, Mick & Mike were the winning rink.
Retford
Another warm welcome at Retford tonight. Although we lost on two rinks we won overall 74-54. Well done all the players. The winning rink for Mansfield was Pat Kendal, Gordon Galloway and Peter McGee.
Welbeck
MBC v/s WELBECK.
The Club extended a warm welcome to
Welbeck on a Beautiful summers evening. Final
scores were MBC 71 WELBECK 53.
Winning rink for MBC was Sammi Hurst &
Jane Hurst with a 20 shot margin. They
donated their £1 to the presidents charity.

Titchfield
M.B.C. v/s BREWERY/ TITCHFIELD.

A Warm welcome was given to Titchfield by our members on their arrival at the club .As the scores show it was a very close game, Titchfield just getting the win by 4 shots. So all to play for in the return leg on July 16th.
A special thank-you to Janet and her ladies for producing a lovely buffet meal for all the players. thank-you also to Malc for running the bar. Thanks also to Cath for the raffle and for also standing in to play at the last moment. The winning rink for M.B.C. was .Margaret Ellward , Christopher Kennedy, & Geoff Hursthouse.

MBC won 64 - 35 great match ladies.

HVPs 59 MBC 75.
An enjoyable match played in a great spirit. A super meal.
QUEEN ANNE'S
MBC won 92 - 46 another wonderful evening, many thanks to the catering Ladies for a superb meal & thanks to Sylvia & Cath for running the Bar & Raffle. MBC winning rink was Trevor Healy, Joe Richardson & Sean Richardson. They kindly donated their winnings towards the Presidents Charity....Many thanks.
Retford Ladies
The Trophy for the match against Retford Ladies was convincingly won by our superb Ladies. It was a very happy, enjoyable game played in a sporting manner.
District
The return fixture with District despite the heat was a most enjoyable match played in the right spirit. The result over the two legs was 145 District MBC 90. President Richard Czubkowski said that he hoped that this most popular fixture will continue to remain part of the calendar for years to come. He thanked Chris for his superb green and the ladies for a wonderful supper.
Farnsfield
A great match against Farnsfield despite playing into the sun. MBC won overall 72-51 with the return match away in August. Richard thanked Jen for the refreshments. Chris Kennedy ,Gordon and Joe were a convincing winning rink.
Brewery
A perfect evening for a game of bowls played on a less than perfect green. Over two legs Brewery won 116-113.
A nice opposition made for an enjoyable match.

Newark
What a superb evening we all had hosting our friends from Newark. A very close game of Bowls but Newark we’re always up against it following their defeat at Newark. A special thank you to the ladies in the kitchen who worked so hard to produce a superb meal. Thank you also to Cath and Sylvia for their contribution tonight. The scores were MBC 60 Newark 57 carrying the scores over from the first leg. The total was Mbc 144 Newark 108 many thanks to the players and the supporters.

Yeoman Hill
What a wonderful day for a Bowls match. We played our old friends from Yeoman Hill in a friendly competitive atmosphere as one would expect. The overall score was Mansfield bowling club 63 Yeoman Hill 52. Two rinks tied on scores they were Linda and Chris Kennedy and Jill Chubb. Cath Heslop, Janet and Phil Parkin. They all donated their winnings to the president’s charity thank you very much. My thanks go to Malc for running the bar,and to the ladies in the kitchen who produced a super meal for everyone. Much enjoyed by both home and away teams.
